Pastor E.A. Adeboye speaks about the fate of the world amid COVID-19.

It was indeed a memorable and a blessed service for the members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) nationwide, as the general overseer of RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye spoke on the topic ‘Joy Cometh’ as led by the spirit of God. According to Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the corona virus pandemic will soon recede. He however commended the efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria for their fight against the virus and also suggested that FG include in the future spiritual leaders in their committees who will help the nation with the spiritual aspect of the warfare faced in our nation.

Pastor E.A. Adeboye also admonished the nation to thank God for the victory He has given to us over the pandemic because it’s not by our wisdom, nor our abilities, nor our planning that we obtained this victory.

These were his words: “…the return journey to normalcy might not be very very rapid or sudden, it might be gradual but it will be steady. I sincerely hope that when the battle is over we will remember to give all the glory to God. We thank God for the government, we thank God for all the efforts they have made. I believe they’ve done creditably well, because they’ve had to deal with the situation, the kind they’ve never seen before but I will probably humbly suggest just as a Nigerian that maybe in the future they will include in all their committees men of God; I’m not talking of small boys like myself, I’m talking about some Chief Imams, some Archbishops, so that they can help them with spiritual aspect of these warfare and I sincerely do hope that we will all admit that it is not our wisdom, not our abilities, not our planning that had given us whatever victory we have already gotten and we need to return all the glory to God because as the elders would say ‘the rain can send you into the same hut more than once’ and we need to really really really give all the glory to God because we don’t want the victories that we have won so far to be reversed.

If you ask any doctor he will tell you that the most difficult kind of cancer to handle is a cancer that relapse, we don’t want a relapse of this scourge. And may I please also remind all of us that like I said at the very beginning, this corona virus by the special grace of God will recede, that, don’t let anyone deceive you, it’s not going to disappear hundred percent. Flu came some about a hundred years or so ago and it receded, Ebola came, it receded. But you know very well they have not died completely. So let’s give all the glory back to God so that He will see to it that our victory will be permanent in Jesus name…”.

At the end of his sermon, he also advised the members to continue to be very hygienic as they are known for during conventions. He also added that any journey outside the country that is not very crucial be suspended until everything become normal again because God will give victory to Nigeria, Africa, even before it extends to the rest of the world. He said this with so much assurance as he received the message from God. He further encouraged the members not to stop sharing the good news that Jesus Christ remains alive and joy is coming.

Pastor E.A. Adeboye is a man God has endowed with His anointing to preach the gospel and we sincerely pray that God Almighty will grant the world their prayers.

Please do not forget to obey the instructions as directed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to keep our hands sanitized and clean at all times, avoid the crowd, cough or sneeze into your arm, avoid touching your eyes or pick your nose, maintain at least a distance of two meters between one another and apply any other necessary precaution to curb the spread of this pandemic called corona virus.
